I don't believe this could be a network drive issue because we don't use desktop redirection or anything like that. Users are still able to access our network drives so the problem, if it's related to a failing drive, seems to me like it would be the local hard drive. I don't see any other evidence of any of these users' hard drives failing so I'm inclined to think that's not it.
