Although the instructions are undated, the Alf Cooke playing cards and case I have suggests it was released in the 's. The Repro version was called 'Triple Chance' - a slightly different routine in that the selected card initially turned face up, then the rest of the pack turned blank before finally showing the selected card had a different back.
It was a favourite 'dem' item of Geoff Maltby. The later version of the Repro effect was not supplied with the card clip as in Paleface Cards and the earlier 'Triple Chance' effect.
