Full diploma candidates must sit for six IB exams in six different subjects. In addition to the successful completion of the six subjects and their respective exams, the Diploma candidate must also take unique courses entitled Theory of Knowledge ToK and Creativity, Action, and Service CAS program.
Furthermore, Diploma candidates must meet two additional requirements: research and write a 4,word Extended Essay in any subject within the IB curriculum.

HL courses require teaching hours, while SL courses require teaching hours. The ToK component adds up to teaching hours. I answered phones, copied and scanned papers, and got to meet and interact with the public. That experience helped me attain my job at Lyndon Furniture as a receptionist. The program provides a path to a high school diploma for adults when a conventional high school education or specific classes have proven unsuccessful.
Program participants include both those who have left school and students who remain enrolled in their partnering high school. Everyone is very friendly and supportive. They went above and beyond what they had to do to make sure I stayed on track. They helped me with my math, which was always my weak area — and really helped improve my punctuation! They helped me connect with a college and walked me through getting set up for financial aid.
Annual programme funding is All three strands share the same national outcomes :. The SCP Programme is a programme to support children and young people who are at risk of early school leaving and students of school going age who are not currently attending school.
Referrals can be made in relation to any child or young person enrolled in a school which is included in a SCP project. The majority of schools included in the programme are DEIS schools. Referrals can be made by participating primary and post-primary schools, parents, self-referrals or other agencies working with children and young people in the project cluster. CPD is provided through a standardised and consistent staff learning and development programme. There are five mandatory CPD training days which should be completed within the first 12 months of a SCP staff person in post.
